Leadership & Vision Team

Sogulu Crystal Damiglaw is an author, social impact leader, systems advocate, and the Founder of YEPP Group LLC and the Youth Empowerment & Pathway Project, Inc. (YEPP). Her work is rooted in both lived experience and professional insight gained through years of service within behavioral health and direct care systems.
Throughout her career, Crystal witnessed firsthand the critical gaps in care, service delivery, and workforce support that too often leave vulnerable individuals without the consistency, structure, and follow-through needed to achieve stability. At the same time, she encountered systemic barriers and inequities within professional environments—experiences that deepened her understanding of structural limitations within existing systems and ultimately led to the creation of YEPP to bridge these gaps and better serve underserved communities.
Rather than discouraging her, these experiences sharpened her vision.
Crystal identified a recurring pattern: individuals facing mental health challenges, housing instability, and employment barriers were navigating fragmented systems with limited coordination and long-term accountability. She recognized the urgent need for an approach that is not only compassionate and trauma-informed, but also structured, outcome-driven, and designed for sustainable impact.

From that vision, YEPP was born.

Through YEPP Group LLC and the Youth Empowerment & Pathway Project, Inc., Crystal has built a model that bridges service delivery with systems-level strategy—integrating behavioral health support, housing stabilization, workforce development, and consulting to create pathways toward long-term stability and opportunity.

As an author and advocate, her work extends beyond direct programs into thought leadership—advancing the need for more equitable, effective, and human-centered systems of care.

Today, Crystal leads with a clear mission: to transform lived experience into meaningful systems change. Her work is grounded in resilience, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to ensuring that individuals and communities are not just supported—but equipped to thrive.

At the core of her leadership is a simple belief: people deserve more than temporary solutions—they deserve pathways.
